OUR TENETS OF FAITH
  1. The Bible is the word of God, not that it merely contains the word of God.

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Heb. 4:12 (KJV)

16All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. 2 Tim. 3:16-17 (KJV)

  1. God is the person who created all things. He personally formed the world and each creature therein. All other creation accounts are false

  1. God created man in His image and likeness in one day, fully matured and highly intelligent. Not that he descended from molecules through the lower forms of life to monkey and man.

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Gen. 1:26 (KJV)

  1. All angels and spirit beings were created by God, fully matured and intelligent

4 Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:  Psalms 104:4 (KJV)

  1. God created man, animals, fish, fowls, and plants to reproduce themselves after their own kind.

Creation of fish, fowl, beasts and cattle

20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.

21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. 22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. 23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day. 24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. 25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and everything that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

Creation of man in the image of God

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Provision for food

29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. 30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so. 31 And God saw every thing that He had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Gen. 1:20-31 (KJV)

  1. Man is a sinner fallen from original righteousness and a high, intelligent and responsible place as the head of the present creation

23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; Rom. 3:23-25 (KJV)

  1. Man is justified by Faith in the atoning blood of Jesus Christ resulting in supernatural regeneration from above.

1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.  Rom. 5:1-2 (KJV)

  1. Man, animals and plant life have degenerated and are under a curse. Man chooses to continue in sin, sickness, and sufferings of the earth and only through redemption in Christ will the whole creation be restored to original perfection and goodness.

Gen. 3 & Gen. 6:5-22

  1. All men who accept Christ and conform to God’s plan for man will be saved, will be resurrected from the dead to immorality and will help God administer the affairs of the universe forever

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 (KJV)

28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice John 5:28 (KJV)

  1. All men who reject Christ and do not conform to the plan of God for man will pay the eternal death penalty for sin; will be resurrected to immortality and will be punished eternally in the lake of fire

9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up forever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Rev. 14:9-11 (KJV)

  1. Jesus Christ is the son of God in a sense that no other man is – the only begotten son of the Father

14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Isaiah 7:14 (KJV)

15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Gen. 3:15 (KJV)

  1. The trinity is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit; They are three different entities that make up one Godhead
7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.  1 John 5:7 (KJV)

  1. The birth of Jesus was supernatural
18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. 19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily. 20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. 21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. 22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, 23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. 24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: 25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.  Matt. 1:18-25 (KJV)

  1. The death of Christ was expiatory, not exemplary. He died for all men. His blood is the only atonement for sin and by His stripes we are healed.
21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.  Matt. 1:21 (KJV)

  1. Jesus Christ rose bodily from the dead, not spiritually or as a spirit being
39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. Luke 24:39 (KJV)

  1. Jesus Christ ascended into glory and He will come again in like manner to rule the world eternally

50 And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them. 51 And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven. 52 And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy: 53 And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.  Luke 24:50-53 (KJV)

11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.  Acts 1:11 (KJV)
